Cant demo opening in revit
WebDec 1, 2024 · I put these new cosntruction doors and windows in the existing wall, so the opening will be demolished and I see in elevation a cross over the masonry area (after I created the opening before) but the new doors and windows do not show. Revit will create a infill, but this is in the phase you set the demolish state to (New Construction maybe). Change the view phase to this phase and you will see the "New" infill - Michel

We have less of a problem of getting the completed version to show up correctly. Its more for the Demo drawing, the opening need to show as dashed. Gotcha! See attached file and screencast in a few minutes. WebMar 10, 2024 · Here's a demo of the issue. I copied/pasted the lines but, trust me, even if I draw them by hand, it doesn't make any difference. I moved a point randomly, but moving a line may or may not correct the issue. Seems to be random. I attached also the Revit file. The structural opening is in there at the exact same location that you see in the video.

WebApr 5, 2014 · You can create one from scratch cutting openings or use a door family and change it to generic. Insert the opening into the wall just as you would a door, in the new phase. It will appear demo in the demo phase.
